Florical ®

RECOMMENDATION:                     

 Take one capsule/tablet daily

BENEFICIAL EFFECTS:
Florical is indicated for otosclerosis. The idea of using Florical is not unlike that of using fluoride for the teeth- it speeds up hardening of bone.

EACH CAPSULE CONTAINS:
Fluoride: 3.75 mg Calcium :145 mg (oyster shell).

LEGAL STATUS:                                                                                                       Dietary supplement in accordance with the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (1994)

USAGE:
Florical can be used three times a day for otosclerosis. After two years, the dose may be reduced to one capsule per day. Once the otospongiosis phase of otosclerosis is over and there is otosclerosis documented by conductive hearing loss, Florical may be stopped.

ADVERSE REACTION:
Lower extremity pain has been reported (ankle pain) and can be resolved by stopping Florical for 30 days; the pain resolves in a few weeks, then the patient restarts the Florical at a lower dosage, pacing themselves and taking as much Florical as can be tolerated.
Epigastric symptoms occur approximately 9% of the time, diarrhea and dry skin have occurred occasionally.

Note:
Since 25% of otospongiosis with sensorineural loss stabilizes spontaneously, the percentage due to NaF therapy should be reduced by 25%.
